RECAP OF 2007!!!
Wow... a year since my last blog. AAannyways... So I STILL don't have a myspace, nor will I ever get one.. but yes, I do have a facebook, and this same thing will be posted on facebook when I'm done... I know this is super late, but I didn't realize that I had this until too late..
January 2007
First eventful thing of the year? Jordan's
first visit to my house.. mm.. eventful b/c he braved through dinner with the
parentals...
Second eventful thing.. Justin Timberlake Concert!! And Pink as opening
act.. pretty cool actually, even though seriously, I didn't know any of
the songs until way later..
Third...
I was a science camp host.. I took care of 10 sixth graders, and that
was pretty crazy.. my girls were ok, they never talked to me afterwards
:(.. oh well, I hope they're doing well in middle school..
February 2007
Erm, pretty awkward night of heading to Jordan's
house to have dinner.. end of story.
Mommy's b-day passed once again with really nothing exciting happening (this year I'm coming home! like it's anything special.)
March 2007
Preparations
for Prom! I got my prom dress and realized it was too frickin' not what
I expected.. so my mom and I took it to Maxine's Bridal to get it
tailored.. overall, wasn't entirely satisfied, but no one notices until
you say something :)
Was March really that uneventful?
April 2007
SPRING
BREAK!! Polycultural weekend :).. Definitely fun.. I met the group of
people I hang out with now.. Saw the church where they shot the music
video for "Helena" (My Chemical Romance).. experienced SLO, the
community I live in.. such a good weekend..
PROM!!
preparations, tie shopping, shoe shopping, why do girls spend so much
for that one night? I spent like.. $300.. geez -.-'.. and I don't think
I'll ever wear that dress ever again.. great night though.. I really
hope I can hang out with that group of girls again :/
Oh.. also went to the Asparagus Festival.. which I haven't been to in AGES

Graduation
:).. Oh joyful day.. done with the Private Education.. no more
uniforms!! Sad to leave friends behind, but it's time to go on to the
big stuff.. Really great grad party with the fam and CFC-Y.. Salamat sa
'yong sa suporta :P.. Don't worry, cousins, your time to shine will
come soon :)
  
Waterwars at American Legion.. it truly feels like forever since I've
been back at CFC-Y and I know alot has changed since I've been gone.. I
think that was pretty much my last event with them, but summer's coming
and I'll be back!
Fanimecon.. ongoing tradition.. I think this was the 4th year that I went? We could only go on Monday b/c of my Graduation..

Nite at Disneyland.. OMG... frickin bus situation.. all you St. Mary's
kids know EXACTLY what I'm talking about.. I wonder if I ever got my
refund... I don't remember.. but yeah.. 4 AM cutters at Space Mountain,

June 2007
Jordan's graduation! Once again, an awkward situation with
meeting relatives.. but yay! I got to see Jordan AND Andre graduate :)
After a June Birthday celebration at
Apong's house, my mom randomly decided that she wanted to stay over at
Lake Tahoe for a night.. OMG, such a bad idea :P.. we were driving
around until 9 to find a hotel to stay at..
 
Brendon's Sweet 16th Bday.. Brendon's friends
came over to celebrate... very awesome cookie cake thingy.. Brendon got
shirts.. and jeans from our parents xD... Guitar Hero from his
friends...
 
I cut my hair! And got it highlighted! It was supposed to be purple.. but my hair is too dark and I didn't want to bleach it..
Saw Frankie Valli at the County Fair.. mm..
super awesome rides that Jordan
couldn't handle (xD.. it's ok, Jor).. I crave funnel cakes...
First
time taking nieces and nephew ice skating.. Camille didn't really
skate.. Patrick and Mikee are getting pretty good at it..
Jordan's 18th Bday.. Macaroni grill (I'm hungry now, gah)..
yay Italian opera singers!! And super delicious brownie cake.. and Ratatouille
(great movie ^.^) and more food.. like.. pasta... and sushi.. and -- I'll stop
now..

PHILIPPINES.. wow was it hot... but it was an
amazing trip.. 3 weeks of intense heat.. hyper squared little Kenzo..
$100 shopping spree ending with a ton more clothes than if I were to
shop here.. beautiful Subic Bay.. getting sick.. bug bites to the max..
hiking in the jungle.. horseback riding.. Baguio with our crazy tour
guide.. hotel with the bullet holes (scared me half to death.)
overwhelmed with "Escalona Highway".. the beautiful beach near where my
dad grew up.. remeeting relatives on my mom's side.. remeeting the
friends that I had when I visited the Philippines 4 years before that..
shopping at Mall of Asia.. the very inexpensive food... ice skating at
the mall of Asia.. such a great 3 weeks... I can't wait to go back..

Barrio
Fiesta! Sadly I didn't perform this year.. but it was fun walking
around and pretty much saying hi to every other OTHER person there.. (I
didn't know every other person, so yeah xD)
A surprise
birthday party put on by my mom and Jordan.. THAT was super fun...
first surprise party ever.. didn't turn out as planned but, it was
great to see so many of my relatives pretty much one last time before I
would be leaving for Cal Poly.. Opening presents at home, and going to
see Rush Hour at the movie theaters with Kirsten and Brendon.. good
stuff, good stuff..
My 18th! Went to Micke Grove park just to spend the day there.. My parents are so quirky.. they got me towels for my bday :P

As
one chapter of my life comes to a close, another one titled "College"
begins.. September 8 was my first day at Cal Poly as a student.. that
night was my first night in my dorm room.. I also had JUST met my
awesome roommate, Stacy..
took my family to see Madonna Inn...
and said goodbye to them, to start this new life..
1st
week as a student was WOW.. (week of welcome).. Our group was headed by
Justin and Lauren, two very great people who tried to make this week
the "Best week ever".. highlight of the week was Paintballing.. and
meeting Cartel!!!!! And getting signed autographs and stuff like that :P
 
First
REAL weeks of school were spent goofing off.. and realizing that most
of my classes were mainly review.. and hanging out with the polypinos
that I met only months before
October 2007
I had involved
myself in a billion clubs, and was just starting to cut back on a few
because they clashed with others.. SWE, PCE and Red Cross were my main
three.. and then I decided to involve myself with a sorority.. I rushed
alpha Kappa Delta Phi, an asian interest sorority.. I spent my
Halloween night with these lovely ladies
In PCE, I was in Kasa,
Choir, and Modern.. the power three... power four would come later when
PCN would start up.. we had Friendship Games, although I wasn't SUPER
hyped for it.. we performed a 1 minute dance which was pretty fun :)
The day after PCN, Kasa performed at Culturefest
By this time, Acada and Mango had already passed on (RIP, I miss you both T.T)
  
November 2007
First
eventful thing of November was Socal Presents.. It was where all the
Pledges of the socal kdPhi's would present themselves to the actives..
Soon afterwards, I realized that the sorority life wasn't for me..
Participated
in the Kuya/Ate/Ading program and was very lucky to receive two awesome
guys as my immediate family.. Kuya Patrick, and Twin Ritchie.. I also
met the rest of the fam at Thanksgiving Banquet and performed for choir
I
went home for the first time, first through my parents picking me up,
and then when going home for Thanksgiving I took train for the first
time alone.. I saw my brother's first wrestling tournament.. even
though he lost, he did very well..
Thanksgiving
was a little more eventful this year, as my Auntie was celebrating her
(I really don't remember how old she is, but you can tell by the
cake)th birthday :P
December 2007
Back in SLO,
the quarter was picking up speed and at the same time winding down as
finals were quickly approaching.. random hangouts included going
Downtown and goofing off, like one time right before Stacy and I went
to watch "Enchanted"
Finals were a biotch, but afterwards, I was
extremely relieved to be able to go home for my winter break.. My
awesome group of friends were even courteous enough to walk me to the
bus station to say bye for now..
Being back home was super
different.. I had to wake up earlier than I did back at slo (you
figured it would've been the opposite way around b/c slo = school, and
home = vacation = sleep time).. The first eventful thing of my break
was the day after I got home.. therewas a mini family reunion going on
in San Francisco where I met even more relatives from my dad's side..
Relatives
from my dad's side stayed at Apong's house for like.. 2 weeks before
they finally went back to Virginia, and the rest went back to London..
I cut my hair again :P
and
tried snowboarding for the first time where I fell and killed my
knee... happily, cousins were very supportive, and didn't laugh at me..
 
Christmas was at my house for the first time ever!! I had been
requesting it since we moved into our current house (AKA about 11 years
ago)
   
I also watched Back to the Future with this fool
for the FIRST time ever..
AAAAAANNNNDD..
as a SUPER exciting end to my year.. I stayed in my room and crocheted
on New Year's Eve.. and only came out when the countdown started.. :P
Yay...
for those of you who got through this... you guys are psycho, but
awesome for taking the time out to learn a little more about me :)

| MM... Kuya Bernie gave the inspiration for this blog.. it's a recap of my 2006.. because I'm watching the Rose Parade, I'm not able to think up a theme for this year.. for me to remember the year, I have to look back on photos.. well, the first major event of the year was a split after three years, yes, if you haven't heard already the couple who everyone thought was gonna get married broke up.. want the info? too bad, you're too late xD.. bought a hamster.. named it Acada.. and it's still alive ^.^ January was also the month of my first Winter Formal..  My mom gained another year in February.. went to another camp.. woo xD.. in March, I was in an entourage for my friend's cotillion, and also one of her candles.. at the end of that month, I took part in the school play "Beauty and the Beast" with my brother.. Precon 2006 in April.. forgot the place.. gahh... then went to Fanimecon in San Jose for the third time.. I dressed up as a girl from Negima, my brother dressed as Sasuke (as normal).. then Brendon had a birthday party slash sleepover... two of his friends slept over.. he's now 15.. 
another Japanese dance performance.. Camille's birthday party.. a reconnection with an old friend at Waterwars.. then Conference in Houston.. a VERY awesome experience.. I felt that I learned a lot more from this conference than from the one in Ohio.. anyone remember the 7 pillars?.. People to People reunion the day before my birthday.. I wished that more people could've gone, but, eh, it's ok... then performed with MANB on my birthday.. another YFC camp.. where I was half candidate half service team.. ok, Eireen is just gonna forget the frickin' pictures and bite off of Felicia and just WRITE... with months.. starting in August August First of all.. Conference.. an awesome experience.. Texas boys are really nice :D.. 7 pillars.. walking around the campus.. riding with Jaime, Denise and Andre in their van.. just to get to lunch.. swimming at the hotel pool.. boys dancing in the windows at 2 in the morning... awesome stuff.. funny thing? I got to know some of the boys.. one of the floors was all from Houston.. sadly I wasn't able to reconnect with people from last year's conference.. then PtP reunion in Modesto.. then ManB performance at Barrio Fiesta.. Sunday performance was my birthday.. didn't do much for it.. then camp came the next week after school started.. being half candidate half service team was great stuff.. the stars there are ALWAYS better than home.. then the week after that, there was a GK performance.. September Very uneventful actually.. except for movies.. ^.^.. Covenant and Illusionist.. October Friendship games.. (edit: I SWEAR I'm going to finish it this time...) Friendship games was pretty fun.. too bad we didn't win this year :/.. we didn't keep our title, but eh, it's okay, we'll survive.. Homecoming week as well.. that was a blast.. dressing up as Sasuke, girl style.. going to the homecoming game.. Pierce who was supposed to be Homecoming king, but dropped out of the race.. Halloluau at the end of the month.. sadly I forgot to bring my camera so I couldn't take pictures.. we did a skit for Gawad Kalinga.. I miss Anne and Krystle :(.. movies :Prestige.. first 4.0 O.o November I skipped school for a day and worked at the Election booth! woo.. fun stuff.. and at the end of the month.. Happy Feet ^.^... twice :) (yes, Eireen is getting lazy, gah). applied for colleges.. 10 of them O.o December my final winter break as a high schooler.. last winter finals.. gah... last everything as a high schooler.. kinda scary stuff.. I had a wonderful winter break.. spent a ton of time catching up on sleep and spending time with the family... ok, yay.. finally... now to wait for another blog for my new years resolutions xD | | |
| So like.. it's been a year since I've written in this xanga, and I kinda feel like starting it back up again.. I know it's gonna take a while for me to get myself to start writing in this but it's better than me getting addicted to myspace since I said that I would never get into myspace.. well.. hrm.. what's been up since a year? a LOT.. it's seriously not like anyone reads this anyways.. I might end up recapping my year up until this point, so yeah.. it's 6:17 PM and I might end up typing until House starts at 9:00 PM. Lets see.. I'm a senior in high school now.. just submitted all the apps for college.. and anxiously waiting for the results.. I did awesome on ACTs (31 ^.^) but horrible on SATS... 1900.. turned 17. and can watch rated R movies without my parents now xD.. just watched March of the Penguins today.. and loves the movie "Happy Feet" yes, penguins are awesome... received money and car covers for Christmas.. and March of the Penguins and a glass cross thingy.. I LOVE life.. even with all the minor drama here and there.. Friendships may be rocky, but I know we'll get through them.. and if not, oh well.. college is up ahead.. a fresh start :)... and I'm bored of typing already.. hrm.. Eireen is single :o.. but she's talking to someone special so.. that's cleared up.. still in YFC but hasn't been there for ages due to preparing for college.. misses the family that she saw yesterday.. we didn't get to watch a movie :( *tear*... it's supposed to be a family tradition to watch a movie on Christmas day.. and all of the other random holidays when we get together and such.. but no, because we were in Union City, we couldn't go watch a movie.. ahh well.. so, that's a basic recap on my life so far.. more blogging later :) | | |
